The one thing we noticed as we ventured north, was the weather fucking sucked. the humidity created the nastiest mugginess. we were sticky within just an hour of being in michigan. we pulled into downtown lansing pretty late, around 8pm. we heard the venue, basement 414, is in the basement of a dance club. we found the address, then figured we should head to the back, see if there was another entrance.
we went down this hill and pull up back. there was a lot of cars, and maybe 30 kids there. all of these kids were wearing the same band t-shirt, bondage pants, fucked up make up and a bunch of other shit. did we wind ourselves up at a nu metal show?
first band went on, and i dont remember their name. they were old dudes playing nu metal rock. it was bad. next band played, and it was a system of a down esque metal. it was awkward. the singer had ceribral paulsy, and he was realy nice to us, but i wasnt into the band. we played to like 4 kids and rolled out. it was a weird night. we ended up getting a hotel this night. we watched bill maher and children of men. and cooked food. shitty show, decent night. lot of arguing and fighting that night.
