9/14 Sheridan, WY

After the 4th Block, we rolled on through the midwest. 11 hour drive through the rest of idaho. on into montana, and pushing our way towards wyoming.

Quick Montana Story #1: when i was a kid, my family and i always drove out to south dakota, once or twice a year, to visit family. I remember once stopping at a McDonald to eat breakfast. everyone there was wearing suspenders or sunday dresses, it was bizarre to me, coming from washington. i was young, maybe 8. a kid asked his dad if he could get some more soda or fries or something simple, and he said no. The child asked again, and the dad smacked the child. i remember my mom and I gasping, and my dad turned and looked. The kid went to ask again, and the dad said "boy, don't make me use my belt," and reached up to hit him again. My dad moved next to him and said to him "you hit that child again and ill use my belt on you." the man closed his mouth, grabbed his kids and food and left. that was that.

Our show that night in south dakota had been canceled, but we knew about a silverstein show in wyoming a friend of ours had tried getting us on. we figured we could show up, and try and sell some cds and shirts to kids to help us out with some gas. finally pull up, and see some kids. and a huge tour bus. keep in mind, this place is a fairgrounds expo hall. its huuuuge. we rolled up, and saw there was maybe 100 kids, harsh. we talked to the promoter, and they said they cant let us on, cuz its up to silverstein. we started looking around, found silverstein, and started talking with those dudes. the singer was alright with it, but we were late so he wasnt super stoked on the idea. he felt on the spot, so he said it was up to the tour manager. after about 15 minutes of searching, we find the dude, dougie. awesome, because he knows mutual people, and is from washington. harry talked him up and we got added. the only time it was gunna work was right before silverstein. so we set up super fast, and when time came, we hopped on.

SETLIST:
INTRO
I HAVE WASTED EVERY WORD
THE MORAL ECLIPSE
TREND-TERMINAL
SURVIVOR
WHAT MEANS THE MOST
INTERLUDE
FAITH-HEALER / DEATH-DEALER

to be honest, to say we did well is an understatement. kids went nuts. couple stagedives, lots of moshing (push mosh and dancing), and 1 kid knew the words to faith healer. girls screamed between every song, and it felt like we were huge. it was insane. we actually did really good. we didnt get a cut off the door, but we sold some merch and cds, so that was rad.

afterwards, we sat and talked to silverstein and a couple other dudes. the bassist of silverstein was positive we were on a label and was shocked we werent. the singer was really impressed and was glad to help us out. it was a fuckin blast. walmart, albertsons, and then holiday inn parking lot. in the morning, we trekked out to south dakota. hit up mount rushmore, and then we crashed at a mutual friends house in rapid city. watched some lost, and geeked out hard on movies and video games. long day, weird. little ceasers rules.
